UBER: GOING THE EXTRA MILE

Safety is a common concern people have when travelling alone as it is not ideal but sometimes there’s no other option.
Uber has many features to help ensure rider safety. However, the problem is not many people know about them. We want all riders to trust Uber as their preferred rideshare app by promoting its in-app safety features.

Uber GPS Balloons
In order to promote Uber's passenger safety, we will install eye-catching balloons on every Uber and inform the public of Uber's GPS tracking feature.

TV SPOT 30 sec
It’s late in the evening on a busy street corner.
JESSICA, a young woman in her mid-twenties, stands on the curb, holding her phone. She looks down at the Uber app, checking the ETA.
Then, an SUV pulls up in front of her. The back window rolls down, revealing the driver.
JESSICA:
Who is this Uber for?
DRIVER:
"Jessica?"
JESSICA:
(relieved) "Yes, that's me."
Jessica scoots in to the back seat of the car, quickly followed by an older woman, then an older man, and finally 2 children. They pack into the back of the car like sardines, shoulder to shoulder.
OLDER WOMAN:
(lets out a deep, loud sigh. She wiggles as she speaks) “Where to again? Oh right, back home! Can’t wait for my baby to come back home. How far away is she?”
OLDER MAN:
(checks his phone) “22 minutes”
The two kids grow restless and begin shoving each other, shaking the whole car.
CHILD 1:
“Scoot over! Your GIANT leg is swallowing me.”
CHILD 2:
“Shut up! I’m literally not touching you. MOM!”
OLDER MAN:
(rolls his eyes) “You two better quit it or you’ll make your mother lose track of Jessica! You better behave before your sister gets home.”
Everyone finally quiets down, and they just sit awkwardly in silence, all staring at JESSICA who is staring out the window, oblivious to the people talking around her.
